Where the Wet Things Are

Another great program, this time featuring Bob Kanegis as the Tales and Trails Storyteller. Here's Bob entertaining some kids at the Camano Island Library with stories -- when he's not playing the accordion and squeezing out a tune!

A Campfire...in the Library??

Up in the hill country of Darrington, they have some mighty peculiar ways. Why, just today, Mrs. Green from the Darrington Library built this campfire smack dab in middle of our children's area!

Okay, so it wasn't a real campfire, just part of "Fireside Fun and Fables", another program that's part of Summer Reading at the Camano Island Library. Friday, July 16 at 1PM, it's "Where the Wet Things Are" --- you think I should I wear a raincoat?

More Summer Fun

Well it looks like summer has finally arrived, and we've got just the thing to keep you entertained. On Friday July 9, The Puppets Please Marionettes will be at the Library starting at 1PM. On Wednesday July 14 at 11AM, one of our librarians will present "Fireside Fun and Fables", and on Friday July 16 at 1PM, enjoy "Where the Wet Things Are" presented by Tales and Trails Storytellers.

But wait, there's more! "Experimenting With Water" 11AM on Wednesday July 21, Giraffe and Staff Puppet Show on Friday July 23 at 1PM, and "Beat the Heat!" on Wednesday July 28 at 11AM.

And finally, to express our thanks to the Camano community for supporting our little library, a Thank You Camano Celebration on Saturday August 21, from 12-3. We'll have some ice cream, children's games, a chance to win a quilt or some pottery in our raffle, free books for joining the Camano Island Library Friends, and a family-friendly performance of songs by Sno-Isle's own troubadour, Bryan Stratton at 1PM. Hope to see you there!
