Today we had our 'Winter Extravaganza' program at the library, and a combination of beautiful weather, shopping and various holiday events conspired to limit our audience to one very talented 5 year old girl named Celia. Now, some performers would pat the kid on the head, perform a perfunctory tune or two and be on their way, but not Eric Ode. He did his entire 45-minute program, sang along with Celia and her mom, and gave her a show she'll never forget. Folks coming through the door to check out books left with such smiles on their faces; it felt like having someone perform in your living room. It was like family. Thank you Eric for such a holiday treat; it will remain one of my fondest library memories.
